The diversity in climates and terrains in Guatemala allow us to create the optimal conditions to produce premium quality fruits and derived products.
Each of the Bonito Farms plantations was carefully chosen to offer the right characteristics, allowing and guaranteeing the best harvest possible.
Commitment to Sustainability
and Innovation
Although we’ve been at this for 75 years, we continue to seek ways to improve our products and methods to have the greatest impact on customers while causing the least possible impact on the environment. “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee”, as The Greatest would say.
We’ve come a long way on our journey. We have shifted from large monoclonal plantations to planting several crops on smaller orchards. We are committed to not disturbing our soils and the invisible ecosystems within them as much as possible, tilling the earth only when planting a new orchard—once every 50 years. We have even embraced some organic practices, increasing the use of natural fertilizers, pesticides, and fungicides to reduce our reliance on petrochemical products. This allows the conditions in our soil for good organisms to effectively fight the bad ones. We may never fully adopt organic practices, but we have seen the benefits of adopting some of its practices.
